Asset Living Promotes Joe Goodwin to Executive Vice President, Platform Services and Risk

HOUSTON (April 24, 2026) – Asset Living is pleased to announce Joe Goodwin’s promotion to Executive Vice President, Platform Services and Risk. As the industry continues to face a range of evolving market conditions, this new role is a commitment to remaining focused on making disciplined decisions that prioritize clients, support teams, and strengthen long-term performance. With more than 27 years of experience in property management, Goodwin brings a broad, cross-functional perspective, working at the intersection of operations, legal, risk, asset management, data, and client services.

“My goals for 2026 are to deliver measurable, positive business outcomes,” says Goodwin. “From a risk standpoint, I plan to work closely with our operations and business development teams, along with key external partners, to proactively assess exposure, safeguard the portfolio, and support smart, sustainable growth. I also want to make sure every new opportunity is evaluated through a strategic, risk-conscious framework.”

Before stepping into his current role, Goodwin served as Senior Vice President of Business Optimization. He began his career in property management in 1999 while attending college, working as a part-time Leasing Agent. He joined Asset Living in 2002 as a Lease Up Manager for the company’s first student housing development and moved into a corporate role in 2004 as a Market Research Associate. Over the years, Goodwin has taken on a wide range of roles and played a key part in building several core functions as the company has expanded. He played a key role in establishing the marketing and new development operations departments for both the student and multifamily divisions, while also serving in operational and asset management roles and developing the firm’s market research and data analytics capabilities.

“In this role, I’m looking forward to bringing an enterprise-wide perspective, strengthening alignment across departments, and supporting disciplined, long-term growth,” says Goodwin.

Outside the office, Goodwin enjoys spending time with his wife and family, often cheering on his son at games and practices. He also values time outdoors, whether he’s fishing, working in the yard, or appreciating the simpler things in life.
