Asset Living Promotes Tammy Flores to Regional Vice President, Operations

DALLAS (August 07, 2023) Asset Living is pleased to announce Tammy Flores was promoted to Regional Vice President within the company’s multi-family division. Flores, who started at Asset Living 17 years ago, has been in property management for over 27 years. In her new role as Regional Vice President, Operations, Flores will lend her experience to foster a team to expand our Rio Grande Valley and Coastal Bend area footprint.

"My goal for 2023 is to create a dynamic team that will establish Asset Living as the leading force in the Rio Grande Valley and Coastal Bend area.", says Flores.

Prior to her new role, Flores, started in property management in 1998 as a Community Manager on a tax credit property, with little knowledge of the program. Originating from a conventional community mainly occupied by students at UTSA, she was fortunate to have an exceptional mentor, Anna Melson, who nurtured her talents and guided her into assisting other communities within her portfolio. Under Anna's guidance, she achieved her first lease-up.

In 2006, Flores advanced to become a Jr. Regional Supervisor, entrusted with overseeing Granger McDonald's Hillcountry portfolio. Over the next three years, she successfully completed five more lease-ups. In 2009, she oversaw the Tejas portfolio, spanning from Abilene to Beaumont. Her 14-year tenure with Tejas saw her accomplish nine new lease-ups, four of which were in the Rio Grande Valley area.

In 2016, Connie Quillen became her mentor, and Flores was assigned the Madhouse portfolio. During her five years of dedicated oversight, she excelled in completing four new lease-ups, with four more currently nearing completion in the Rio Grande Valley area."

"[In this role], I am most looking forward to its boundless opportunities for personal growth and learning. Guiding and nurturing my employees to achieve success brings me immense joy, as I am passionate about teaching. I believe in the power of feedback and recognize that everyone learns differently, a vital aspect people sometimes overlook.

When Flores isn't working, she loves to be on the water taking the boat out, fishing, and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoys binging reality TV!
