Today we are hearing from Shenyatta Johnson, Accounting Manager.
What is your background and experience in and what do you do within Asset Living?
“I joined the property management industry in 2007 in Chicago, Illinois and for the last 7 1/2 years, I’ve been with Asset Living based in our Atlanta office. Since 2022 I have been in my current role as an accounting manager.”
What piece of advice would you give to a new employee who is #BecomingAnAsset?
“Be an apprentice. Even as you become more confident in your new role, work harder – it's contagious. Welcome to #TeamAsset!”
What drives you to be the best team member possible?
“Success! My hard work and perseverance, aligned with Asset Living’s core values, helps me be the best employee and team memeber possible.I excel by being a part of a supportive team and contributing creatively to the success of our department. When I am successful in my professional goals, it helps assist the team in meeting their goals.”
What is your favorite memory from this year or within your career at Asset Living?
“Sleep Out 2022! I enjoy serving the community so when we partnered with Covenant House I was ecstatic! Covenant House provides care to homeless youth, their mission and the entire Sleep Out experience was very educational and inspiring.”
Lastly, what do you like to do outside of work in your free time?
“SHOE Shopping!! I also enjoy running 5K’s and 10 K’s. I am currently working my way up to a half marathon and hope to accomplish one in 2023. I love that the registration fees go to charity, and I try to volunteer at most events I run in.”
