Asset Living’s Senior Vice President Todd Elsass has worked at Asset Living since 2006. At Asset Living, his goals include ensuring properties exceed resident, client, and company expectations. He consistently delivers high performance through key operational components that drive success for Asset Living––and our clients. Elsass shares his career highlights, lessons learned along the way.
Can you share a few of your career highlights?
“The highlight of my career is developing, mentoring, and helping people grow to become future leaders in our industry and within Asset Living. It is very important to me to make a positive impact on others, as others have done with me and my career. I find it rewarding to contribute to other’s successes. I have seen individuals grow from entry level young professionals into executive leader roles. This has been extremely enriching to me both professionally and personally.”
What are some of your greatest work memories or what has been the most rewarding part of your career?
“I have been part of many great projects during my 17-year career with Asset Living. My greatest memories stem from working with the best people in the industry. Clients, Vendors, co-workers and industry leaders. The interpersonal relationships that I have formed along the way are invaluable and have created memories to last a lifetime.”
What has been some of the best career advice or lessons learned throughout your career?
“By experience, I always tell my team and close audience to be patient. Let your experiences grow, learn all that you can while being patient. Be ready, be flexible, be loyal and most of all be understanding that greatness takes time. When the time is right, things will happen.”
Lastly, which of our four core value(s) at Asset Living – drive, honesty, impact and family – resonates most with you personally and/or professionally?
“All four core values are important to me. Family and honesty resonate on a more personal level. We spend more hours with our work family than we do our own families. It is imperative to have great working relationships. On a professional level, drive and impact are extremely important to me. I always strive to work hard, be passionate and purposeful to impact our company, clients, vendors, and employees successfully.”
