Celebrating Asset Living’s 38th Birthday through Acts of Kindness

Asset Living celebrated 38 years of excellence in the property management industry, an impactful milestone in the company's achievements. To mark this special occasion, we initiated the 'Spread Kindness' challenge, inviting our Asset Ambassadors to participate in 38 small acts of kindness within their communities.  

Community Manager at Emerson at Celebration, Doris Granger, encouraged her team members to donate blood at their local blood bank to commemorate our 38 years of excellence, while Compliance Manager Kasie Linker participated in this challenge with her children by passing out notes with inspirational messages to strangers at their local grocery store.  

Community Manager at Aspen Syracuse, Jason Borges, joined the initiative by writing heartfelt thank-you letters to local firefighters and police officers, expressing gratitude for their dedicated service to our communities. Meanwhile, Performance Manager Joy Shoop contributed to the challenge by generously offering to babysit her neighbors' children, providing them with the opportunity for a well-deserved date night!

The 38 acts of kindness consisted of:

  • Hold the door open for someone
  • Smile at strangers
  • Compliment a friend or coworker
  • Leave a kind note for someone
  • Pay for the coffee of the person behind you in line
  • Donate old clothes to a charity
  • Offer to help someone carry their groceries
  • Volunteer at a local soup kitchen or shelter
  • Send a thoughtful text message to a friend or family member
  • Plant a tree or flowers in a public space
  • Offer to walk a neighbor's dog
  • Send a care package to a soldier overseas
  • Write a thank-you note to someone who has made a difference in your life
  • Offer to babysit for a friend or family member
  • Donate blood to a blood bank
  • Leave a generous tip for your server at a restaurant
  • Pick up litter in your neighborhood or local park
  • Offer to mow your neighbor's lawn
  • Leave encouraging messages on sticky notes in public places
  • Listen attentively when someone needs to talk
  • Hold a fundraiser for a charitable cause
  • Volunteer to read to children at a local library or school
  • Write positive reviews for small businesses online
  • Send flowers to someone who is feeling down
  • Donate books to a local library or school
  • Offer to tutor a student who is struggling in school
  • Cook a meal for a friend or family member who is going through a difficult time
  • Send a thank-you letter to your local firefighters or police officers
  • Participate in a beach or river cleanup
  • Donate pet supplies to an animal shelter
  • Offer to drive someone to their doctor's appointment or errands
  • Share uplifting or inspiring posts on social media
  • Offer to fix something for a neighbor who may need help
  • Leave positive feedback for someone's work or service
  • Offer to teach someone a skill you're good at
  • Volunteer at a local animal rescue organization
  • Donate non-perishable food items to a food bank
  • Simply be there for someone who needs a friend to lean on

Throughout April, our Asset Ambassadors enjoyed spreading acts of kindness and understood the significance of giving back to their communities. As we reflect on the importance of these actions, we encourage everyone to think about the meaning of impact in their own lives and consider how they can make a difference in their daily routines. Together, let's continue fostering a culture surrounded by kindness and positivity that will enhance the lives of those around us.
