As many here at Asset Living already know, I hold veterans and active military members, as well as their service to our country, in very high esteem. We proactively recruit those who have served or still do to be a part of Team Asset in locations across the country as a small way to show our gratitude. We also observe Veterans Day every year as a national holiday, but it's essential to put action behind those words and tangibly show our support.
That's why, starting this year and going forward, I'm proud to announce the addition of a paid holiday for all of Asset Living's servicemembers on the date that Veterans Day is recognized. I want all of those who serve or have served to know how appreciated they are. Grateful isn't a strong enough word when it comes to those who are willing to put their lives on the line for the safety of our country, and by extension, everybody here. From the bottom of my heart, I thank those who make that decision, not only for what you do for our country, but for what you teach us. Being a member of the service means valuing selflessness, putting others before yourself, and caring for the safety and freedom of our society above all else.
Giving a day off is a small token of appreciation in comparison for all that our military and its veterans do, but we at Asset Living will do all we can to show just how thankful we are. For those who won't be off on the holiday, take at least a moment during the day to reflect on those who the holiday is observed for. Without them, none of us would be where we are today.
