What Our Impact Value Means at Asset Living

This month, we are dedicated to sharing how our core value of impact comes to life at Asset Living. We spoke with a few employees across the nation who have seen our impact value in action, and they shared what these experiences have meant to them!

Anna Long, Sr. Regional Leasing & Training Director

"To me, making an impact at Asset Living means going beyond the office or boardroom. Giving back has been a passion of mine since joining Asset Living in 2012. In fact, I recently was fortunate enough to take a mission trip to Nicaragua where we worked to put in clean water systems for a community. After that trip, I was looking for more ways to give back and make an impact. Fortunately for me, Asset Living had recently launched their impact partnership with Covenant House which gave me an opportunity to participate in the 2021 Sleep Out. After sleeping out, I was even able to connect with my church and serve the local homeless population.”

Chris Berger, Market Research Analyst

“I like to carry the core value of impact with me every day. I think making an impact can be as simple as picking up an extra coffee on the way into the office or as big as helping someone with an emergency on the property. When I visit an Asset Living property, I try to do something that will leave an impact on the employee, resident, or prospect. I think if you can impact someone's attitude or roll up your sleeves and help someone with a project, you are making an impact bigger than you know.”

Debbie Wiatrek, Vice President Multi-Family Operations

“Impact is doing something that is bigger than yourself -- such as leading someone towards the path of success or helping others when they need it the most. For example, we had a training event for our multi-family division on Nov. 18 at the Houston office. Together, we were able to make an impact through learning and meeting with one another. Later that night, we participated in Covenant House’s virtual Sleep Out – staying up all night to raise awareness around the homeless youth population in the U.S. Several team members went above and beyond making this truly an incredible experience. Spending the day and night with the multi-family team left an impact on me and will always be something that I’ll continue to talk about (in hopes that it leaves an impact on others as well).”
