Amie Robertshaw Inducted as President of the Apartment Association of Metro Denver

DENVER, CO (June 17, 2022) Asset Living, one of the largest property management providers in the United States, is pleased to announce Amie Robertshaw, Vice President of Multi-Family Operations, as the newest executive board President for the Apartment Association of Metro Denver (“AAMD”). She assumed her new title and role as President after the official induction ceremony which took place on June 16.

As president, Robertshaw is most looking forward to being able to share her passion for the industry on a broader scale to ultimately inspire her network and industry peers to get involved with the organization. “I have a lot of heart for what I do – and being in a role that allows me to share that passion with others is exciting,” she says. “Our industry could not move forward without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and members, so I hope to inspire others to not only get involved in new ways, but also recognize how fortunate we are to be on this career path.”

With more than 20 years in the property management industry, Robertshaw’s experience spans from business development to brand management and beyond. At Asset Living, she's responsible for overseeing multi-family operations and business development for properties based in Colorado. In addition to her work at Asset Living, Robertshaw’s active involvement with AAMD over the last four years has led to recruiting new members, numerous learning opportunities, and personal growth.

"I’ve learned so much about the effort it takes to make our association successful – but most notably, I’ve learned a lot about the importance of advocacy and the need to stay abreast of the legislative challenges facing our industry,” says Robertshaw who has already recruited three colleagues to take on a leadership role with AAMD in 2022.

While there are many things Robertshaw hopes to achieve as President, she’s hoping to address the affordable housing conversation to help bring some clarity and advocate for owners and operators. “In Denver, especially, there is certainly a lot of conversation around the need for more affordable housing – and we work hard to address those needs. Quite often, landlords are the ones on the front lines voicing concern over proposed legislation that could affect costs that would in turn negatively impact our residents,” says Robertshaw.
