Asset Living Mountain Retreat 2023: Scaling New Heights in Leadership

At Asset Living, we believe in the power of unity, growth, and camaraderie. To foster these values, we host an annual leadership retreat that brings together our dedicated team members from across the Mountain West Region. The retreat is a special time for us to reflect on our company's mission and vision, and build a stronger, more cohesive team. In this blog post, we'll take you through the highlights of our recent Asset Mountain Retreat, held in the picturesque town of Blackhawk, Colorado.

The Goals and Objectives

The primary objectives of our leadership retreat are to build camaraderie, enhance engagement, share global insights, and align our team with the company's goals and vision. We strive to provide our team members with an opportunity to refresh, recharge, and motivate them for the challenges ahead. Additionally, team building and leadership-focused content are at the heart of our retreat's agenda.

Who Attended

This year, we were delighted to welcome approximately 200 team members from the Mountain West Region. This diverse group included corporate office team members, on-site Community Managers, Service Managers, and several members of the Asset Living executive team. In addition to these team members who attended the retreat, we saw record-breaking attendance and support from our supplier partners who helped to sponsor the event.

Professional Development and Team Building

Our 2023 theme, "Apex Scaling New Heights," set the tone for the retreat. In Blackhawk, Colorado, the team linked the location's historical significance to our company's future, emphasizing how we are building our history with every stride we make. The team incorporated the concept of turning lead into gold, where challenges become opportunities, and we see the good in every situation.

One of the most engaging aspects of the retreat was the team-building exercise that kicked off our two-day event. This exercise got participants out of their seats, fostering collaboration and interaction.

We also had the pleasure of hosting Errol Doebler as a speaker, who highlighted the value of company culture and the role every employee plays in shaping it. His presentation resonated with our team and reinforced the importance of culture in our organization.

The Asset Mountain Retreat was filled with memorable moments that will stay with us for years to come. One standout moment was the Exec Team Leadership panel discussion on Day 2. Facilitated by Amie Robertshaw, the panel included Carol Nelson, Alex Moore, Cory Hitte, and David Walther. It provided a unique opportunity for our team to learn more about our leadership team on a personal level and gain insights into company goals and vision.

To top it all off, we created a human Asset Living logo on the rooftop of the parking deck, captured by a drone. This visual representation of unity and teamwork serves as a lasting reminder of the success and camaraderie we achieved at the retreat.

The Asset Mountain Retreat 2023 was a tremendous success, serving as a platform for our team to connect, learn, and grow together. We look forward to carrying the energy and insights gained from this event into the future, continuing our journey of scaling new heights in leadership. We're proud of the bonds formed and the inspiration received during this retreat, and we can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on our company and our team members.
