Asset Living’s Senior Vice President Johanna Janovsky has worked at Asset Living since 2011 and has been in property management for nearly 30 years. At Asset Living, her goals include driving employee performance through mentorship, development, and ongoing motivation, all while supporting and producing bottom line results for her clients. Janovsky shares her career highlights, lessons learned along the way.
Can you share a few of your career highlights?
“Joining the team in 2011 was one of my best career decisions. Today, I serve as an SVP, and I take great pride in knowing that my company not only believes in me but my ability to serve as a leader. While clients and property performance are always top of mind, having the ability to touch and impact the lives of so many team members is truly what I cherish. I'm grateful this role has allowed me to do what I love while growing and challenging myself both personally and professionally.”
What are some of your greatest work memories or what has been the most rewarding part of your career?
“Supporting and mentoring my team members and watching their careers thrive. One of the most important aspects of my current role is to develop our future leaders. I feel a tremendous sense of pride when they are considered for advancement opportunities.”
What has been some of the best career advice or lessons learned throughout your career?
“Do what you say you are going to do and always go the extra mile to differentiate yourself from the rest of the pack.”
Lastly, which of our four-core value(s) at Asset Living – drive, honesty, impact, and family – resonates most with you personally and/or professionally?
“It would have to be drive. This is a value that I not only instill in my employees but have had to instill in my children as well. Never settle for the status quo. Keep pushing to be the best version of yourself that you can be.”
