National Apartment Association's annual event for the rental housing industry, Apartmentalize, took place in Chicago August 31 – September 2, 2021, and several Asset Living industry experts attended the three-day event to network and reconnect with others in the industry.
While this was as a perfect chance to have face-to-face interactions, our Asset Living experts also found this event to be a great opportunity to get reenergized with some fresh thinking and new ideas inspired by some of the speaker and breakout sessions.
A few of our Asset Living experts reflected on their experience at Apartmentalize 2021 and some even shared some key insights below.
Karen Hefner, Senior Vice President Multi-Family
“NAA is always a great opportunity to reconnect with our vendor partners, industry and satellite office peers. With over 37 years of experience, I’m constantly still learning new things. I feel blessed to work for Asset Living, a company that offers these experiences to constantly stay in front of growing trends in the ever-changing and evolving multi-family space. Chicago is a beautiful city and I thoroughly enjoyed the weather, architecture, river boat cruise and dining venues.”
Micah Spicer, VP of Operations Multi-Family Operations
“It was great that Asset Living allowed us the opportunity to travel to Chicago for Apartmentalize, where we were able to learn about current and trending management practices while connecting with other Asset Living team members across the United States. I look forward to reaching out to the connections we made to collaborate and learn how we can work together.”
Debbie Wiatrek, VP of Management for Multi-Family Operations
“I love going to Apartmentalize each year for the industry camaraderie. We always walk the expo floor to learn about new products that could help us to better serve our residents. This event is a great opportunity to network within the industry and reconnect with our suppliers who we may not always get to see on a regular basis. Being able to bond with my fellow Asset Living colleagues from across the country at this event is by far my favorite part. No matter the experience level, the variety of classes that’s offered by NAA at Apartmentalize is worthwhile for anyone working within the multi-family industry. Our teams are excited to implement all of our insights, key learnings and new ideas!”
