Kia Helms

Kia Helms is a Senior Vice President and leads business development for Asset Living’s Southeastern region. She has worked in the multi-family industry for over 25 years, gaining expertise on both the management and supplier sides. Prior to Asset Living, Kia served as the Senior Director of National Business Development at The RMR Group. Most of her career, she was focused on the supplier side of the industry, specifically with start-ups: SureDeposit (acquired by Assurant in 2011) and LeaseTerm Solutions (acquired by RealPage in 2019). Kia also helped to propel a third start-up in the short-term rental and flexible lease space, which still operates today. At Asset Living, Kia’s goal is to spearhead regional expansion by forging strategic partnerships and collaborating with internal teams on partnership proposals.

Kia holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia State University. When Kia is not in the office, she enjoys cheering on her Georgia teams – especially the Atlanta Hawks and the UGA Bulldogs – spending time with her husband, two teenage sons, and three doodles (two Goldens and one Aussie) who run their household.
